Venting & Blow-off Silencer Design Mechanics

High-pressure venting creates severe acoustic turbulence and shockwave noise. W&P NOISEPROTECTION silencers combine three thermodynamic stages to achieve maximum attenuation with minimum pressure drop:

1. Expansion Device

Single and multi-stage pressure breakdown orifices convert high-pressure acoustic energy into controlled flow velocity.

2. Silent Noise Expansion

Controlled gas expansion stage prevents turbulent vortex creation and eliminates acoustic shockwave formation.

3. Acoustic Absorbers

High-efficiency absorption baffles and perforated core liners absorb residual high-frequency acoustics up to 55 dB(A).
